Our story remains to be about two distinctly simple, yet powerful ‘bonds’ that have inspired us throughout the entire existence as a company. E&E’s story is based on a special bond between its founders: two identical twin brothers. And at the heart of our business is the uncompromising bond between maintaining best traditions of British craftsmanship and improving the quality of life of differently-abled people.

E&E Accessories Limited is proud of its long tradition of highest quality workmanship and its extensive expertise in the manufacture of prosthetic accessories, providing a reliable lifeline for amputees. While prosthetic and orthotic technology continues to evolve, many patients rely on traditional style accessories to improve their mobility and daily lives.
Moreover, we strive hard to retain many traditional product ranges for those people who require such products. For us, it is not just about doing business; it is more about evolving our bond and about staying true to our values.
Founding Story
The company was formed in 1992 by twin brothers Messrs. J R Evans and D J Evans, after working for many years at artificial limb manufacturers J.E. Hanger and Co. Ltd. The two brothers and some of their experienced colleagues from the leather department of J.E. Hangers led the new company in making various leather and webbing components.
Initial samples of the products were submitted to the Medical Services Directorate at Hinchley Wood. Following an inspection of the company by the Directorate, a letter from its section head was received, stating that the products were of extremely high quality and competitively priced. At that time, the Medical Services Directorate had responsibility for the monitoring of quality and pricing of prosthetic products supplied to the Department of Health.
Within a very short period, E&E became recognised as an official supplier to the NHS (National Health Service UK) and the Division of the Scottish Health Service.
Present and Future
When the two brothers J R and D J Evans wanted to retire, they passed on the company and their blend of tradition to its own employees who had the best knowledge of their special bond and traditional manufacturing processes. To this very day, E&E maintains the bond of highest-quality British workmanship in leather with a tradition of attention to detail and comfort which was instilled by its twin founders. Their values continue to be upheld by its current sole owner Mrs. Nadjat Tbahriti.

Market Leadership
We supply major manufacturers of prostheses and health services and all the service contractors at various disablement service centres in the UK and overseas. The company had been appointed as an official supplier to the NHS and the Division of the Scottish Health Service following a visit by a representative of their Procurement Division.
Product Range
E & E Accessories only use high-quality materials recommended for the prosthetics and orthotics industry. All materials and products are field-tested in the UK and overseas. We continue to employ proven manufacturing methods in our UK workshop since 1992. Our longstanding, first-hand experience guarantees the quality and durability of all our products.
In the past 10 years we have sold 27,990 Patella Tender Bearing Cuff Suspensions for below knee amputees, 7,413 Pelvic Band Belts for above knee amputees and 9,632 soft suspension belts for above knee amputees.
Sustainability
There is a human bond and care involved in the manufacture of handmade products which is absent in mass-produced products. The goods are made one by one, combining emotional talents and proven processes of traditional craftsmanship. This ‘handmade’ approach creates less waste and uses far less energy. Using the same handmade techniques as in 1992 means that our manufacturing process is environmentally friendly which is not possible with mass plastic manufacturing.
As a material, leather provides essential characteristics which help to enhance the quality of life of amputees. Due to significant demand, we continue to use leather for sockets and hip joints. We source our leather from responsible sources, with full traceability back to those sources.
